(WLCSports.com) – Freshman Mack Hogenson (Neenah, Wis.) drained the go-ahead three-pointer with 0:39 seconds left in the fourth quarter to send the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's basketball team to a 58-52 win over host Chicago on Sunday afternoon inside the Gerald Ratner Athletics Center. It was the Warriors' second win at the Midway Classic over a nationally-recognized team.

- The Warriors jumped out to a 7-2 lead over the Maroons within the first two minutes of the game following a layup from senior Jenna Mace (Wisconsin Dells, Wis.).
- Chicago responded with a 10-2 run to take its first lead at 12-9 with 4:15 left in the opening quarter.
- The score was deadlocked at 14-14 for nearly two minutes before senior Kalies Birkholz's (Watertown, Wis.) three gave WLC a 17-14 lead after one quarter.
- Wisconsin Lutheran took a 21-16 lead with 7:31 left in the second quarter after a layup from Birkholz. UC answered right back with an 8-0 run and went into halftime holding a 28-25 advantage.
- The Green and White never grabbed the lead in the third quarter, but came within a point on three separate occasions. The Maroons closed the third period on a 9-3 scoring run to take their largest lead of the game at 44-37.
- Mace and Hogenson combined to score the first seven points of the fourth quarter, as the Warriors quickly erased their deficit.
- Three ties between the two teams followed between the 5:39 mark and 1:21 mark, and Hogenson drained a three from the right wing out of a timeout to give WLC a 55-52 lead with 0:39 seconds left.
- Chicago missed its last four shot attempts and senior Abby Vavra (Mukwonago, Wis.) made three of four three throws to seal the win.
- Sophomore Kaitlyn Shadoski (Janesville, Wis.) led all scorers with 17 points, while Hogenson followed with nine points off the bench.
- Vavra and sophomore Nicole Jongebloed (Horicon, Wis.) corralled six rebounds apiece.
- Wisconsin Lutheran finished the game shooting 42 percent from the floor and owned a slim margin on the glass, 37-35.
