Box Score PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Junior Jason Cano (Delavan, Wis.) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team to a 3-2 win over Lakeland on Sunday afternoon at Taylor Field. This marks the second straight year the Warriors have started their season 2-0-0.

- Cano put the Warriors on the scoreboard first in the second minute when he found the back of the net off an assist from freshman Tony Bedolla (Joliet, Ill.).
- WLC put four shots on frame before freshman Ryan Mazza (Elm Grove, Wis.) netted his first collegiate goal on an assist from Cano with just 1:37 left before halftime.
- The Muskies cut their deficit in half just two minutes into the second half with a goal from Michecadet Gethand.
- Cano connected on a penalty kick in the 74th minute for the eventual game-winner following a Lakeland foul to give Wisconsin Lutheran a 3-1 lead.
- LU came within a score again in the 82nd minute on a goal from Joseph Reyes, but freshman goalkeeper Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) stopped both shots he faced over the final eight minutes to preserve the victory.
- Cano finished with a team-high four shots, two goals, and an assist to lead the Warriors. Senior Mario Caldwell (Milwaukee, Wis.) also placed two of his three shots on frame.
- WLC totaled 14 shots for the game, including 10 on goal.
- Galvan improved to 2-0-0 in the net after making eight saves, including seven in the second half.
- Wisconsin Lutheran won its ninth straight game over Lakeland in the series.
