Box Score 2 MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's volleyball team split a Sunday doubleheader with MSOE, sweeping match one 3-0 before the host Raiders swept match two. The Warriors claimed the opener behind scores of 25-23, 25-17, and 25-21, while MSOE took the second contest by scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-11.

- MSOE raced out to an early 8-2 lead before sophomore Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) ended a four-point run with a kill. The Warriors brought the set back within three points, but the Raiders extended the lead to 18-10 with another run. WLC responded with kills from sophomore Jenna Charron (Appleton, Wis.) and senior Jordan Weide (New Berlin, Wis.) highlighting an 8-1 run to cut the deficit down to just one point. Junior Mercedes Pye (Zion, Ill.) gave Wisconsin Lutheran the lead late, and the Green and White took set one 25-23.
- The Warriors took an early four-point lead in set two and never trailed in a 25-17 win. Five different players recorded a kill in the set, with Mercedes Pye and Jenna Charron each posting two.
- Wisconsin Lutheran and MSOE were tied at six apiece in the third set before the Raiders scored five straight to take an 11-6 lead. WLC regained the lead with four unanswered points midway through the set, capped by a kill from Jenna Charron, to make the score 15-14. Another quick four-point run for the Warriors helped them claim the third set and sweep the match by a score of 25-21.
- Jenna Charron posted a team-high 11 kills along with a .259 hitting percentage. Mercedes Pye added eight kills and led the team with 18 digs as Wisconsin Lutheran finished with 30 kills and a .123 hitting percentage.
- The Warriors recorded 16 block assists and two solo blocks, with four block assists from Weide and senior Alyssa Charron (Appleton, Wis.).
- After WLC took an early lead in set one, the Raiders responded with six straight points to take a 7-4 lead. Wisconsin Lutheran evened the score at eight on a pair of kills and a service ace from sophomore Ally Goba (Mukwonago, Wis.) before a 10-2 MSOE run put the hosts in control. The Warriors cut the deficit down to four but the Raiders took set one 25-19.
- A pair of kills from junior Carly Heuer (Germantown, Wis.) helped WLC remain even with MSOE at seven in the second set, but another big run by the Raiders allowed them to coast to a 25-15 second set win.
- The Warriors trailed by one at 9-8 in the third set, but a pair of seven-point runs helped MSOE sweep match two behind a 25-11 third set win.
- Mercedes Pye and Heuer each finished with four kills to pace Wisconsin Lutheran. The Green and White finished with 19 kills and posted a hitting percentage of -.131.
- Sarles led the team with nine digs while recording nine assists.
- Italia Fields led MSOE with eight kills in match one. Bekah Smith posted 17 digs to lead three players with double-digit digs, while Amanda Yackley had 21 assists.
- Fields finished with 10 kills in the second match along with a .207 hitting percentage. The Raiders finished with 31 kills as a team and hit .178. Yackley recorded 28 assists and three players finished with at least 10 digs.
