Box Score 2 MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - In its final conference matches of the season, the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's volleyball team swept Lakeland in a Senior Day doubleheader on Saturday afternoon inside the Recreation Complex. The Warriors won the opener 3-1 before sweeping the Muskies in the second match behind scores of 25-13, 25-19, and 25-23.

- The Warriors opened the first set with three consecutive kills, and held an early 10-4 lead behind three kills from sophomore Jenna Charron (Appleton, Wis.). The Muskies cut the deficit to two points with a 5-1 run, with four kills coming from Abby Baumgartner. WLC responded by scoring five straight to increase the lead back to seven points and held off Lakeland for a 25-18 first set win.
- The two teams traded points for the early portion of set two, until Lakeland opened up a six-point lead with a 7-1 run. Wisconsin Lutheran got back within one at 14-13 after scoring six unanswered capped by a kill from junior Carly Heuer (Germantown, Wis.). The Warriors were unable to get any closer though, as the Muskies claimed the second set 25-22.
- The third set went back and forth throughout, with a total of 20 tie scores and seven lead changes. Down 21-20, WLC scored four straight, including kills by Heuer and senior Alyssa Charron (Appleton, Wis.) to take a three-point lead. Lakeland kept the set close, but a kill from sophomore Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) and a Muskies attack error helped Wisconsin Lutheran win 27-25.
- Five Warriors kills, including two from Jenna Charron helped the Green and White take an early lead in the fourth set. The WLC lead reached nine at 15-6 before the Muskies rattled off nine straight points to tie the game. Junior Dayton Pye (Zion, Ill.) ended the run with a kill and regained a four-point lead at 19-15.
- Lakeland tied the game again at 22, but two kills from Alyssa Charron allowed Wisconsin Lutheran to win set four by two.
- Jenna Charron paced the Warriors with 15 kills on a .289 hitting percentage while Heuer added 12 kills. WLC recorded 58 kills and posted a .186 hitting percentage as a team.
- Sarles finished with 41 assists and added 21 digs for a double-double. Sophomore Ally Goba (Mukwonago, Wis.) led the team with 30 digs.
- Wisconsin Lutheran went on a pair of runs early in the first set and held an 11-3 lead behind a pair of service aces from Goba. The Warriors advantage continued to grow with another six-point run, and a couple service aces by Sarles closed out the set 25-13.
- Lakeland held a five-point lead to open set two, but WLC evened the game at eight with five straight points. The Muskies regained a two-point lead midway through the set, but another four-point run by the Green and White forced a LU timeout at 17-15 in favor of the Warriors. Two more service aces, this time by freshman Courtney Andras (Oxford, Mich.) helped WLC win set two 25-19.
- The third set featured 11 tie scores, and the score was even at 10 until three consecutive Muskies points forced a WLC timeout. Out of the timeout, the Warriors scored six unanswered points to take a 16-13 lead. Both teams traded four-point swings to keep the set close, until a kill from Sarles ended the match with a 25-23 score.
- Alyssa Charron posted a team-high 10 kills and a .556 hitting percentage in match two, as Wisconsin Lutheran finished with 35 kills and a .147 hitting percentage as a team.
- Sarles recorded 24 assists and 11 digs for another double-double, while Goba totaled 15 digs to pace the team.
- The Warriors finished with 13 service aces, with Andras posting a team-leading six. Goba and Sarles each added three.
- Baumgartner led the Muskies with 20 kills in match one and Brelynn Scoles added 16 kills with a .256 hitting percentage. Sydney Pingitore recorded 33 digs while Neenah Primas finished with 43 assists.
- In match two, Baumgartner finished with a team-high eight kills. Lakeland totaled 27 kills and a .069 hitting percentage as a team. Pingitore led the team with 17 digs.
- The Warriors will have a week off before closing the regular season with a non-conference doubleheader against MSOE on April 10 inside the Recreation Complex.
