(WLCSports.com) – A Concordia Wisconsin touchdown with under a minute to play saw the Wisconsin Lutheran College football team fall 39-38 to the rival Falcons in the Lutheran Bowl on Saturday afternoon at Tomasini Stadium. Sophomore quarterback Nick Yockey (Gig Harbor, Wash.) threw for a school-record 474 yards along with four touchdowns in the Warriors' one-point loss.

- Concordia Wisconsin got great field position on its opening drive, as a 31-yard kickoff return put the Falcons inside Warriors territory. The WLC defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs on fourth-and-short from the 13-yard line.
- Wisconsin Lutheran went 80 yards on just six plays to start the scoring with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Yockey to freshman Mike DuPree (Milwaukee, Wis.) on a fourth-down play.
- After a CUW punt, the Warriors converted a 13-play, 78-yard drive into three points to increase the lead to 10-0 late in the first quarter.
- Both teams punted in their final drives of the opening quarter before the Falcons got on the board with a 95-yard touchdown drive spanning eight plays. Concordia Wisconsin capped the drive with a touchdown plunge from the one-yard line.
- WLC responded with a quick seven-play, 75-yard drive as Yockey found sophomore Jordan Jewell (Hartford, Wis.) for a nine-yard touchdown to extend the lead back to 10 at 17-7.
- Following a Warriors fumble, CUW connected on a 26-yard field goal to cut the deficit back down to seven.
- Wisconsin Lutheran turned the ball over on downs on its next possession, and the Falcons capitalized, tying the game at 17-17 with a 19-yard touchdown pass with under a minute to play in the first half.
- With four seconds remaining in the half, Yockey found sophomore Orlando Nicksion (Milwaukee, Wis.) for a 40-yard touchdown to cap a 73-yard drive and put WLC up seven heading into the break.
- On the opening possession of the second half, the Warriors went 60-yards and extended the lead to 31-17 as Nicksion hauled in his second touchdown of the day from Yockey from 23-yards out.
- A couple of drives later, the Falcons scored on a 10-yard touchdown pass. The extra-point attempt failed, and Wisconsin Lutheran held a 31-23 lead midway through the third quarter.
- Both defenses forced turnovers on the next two possessions, but neither team was able to put up points.
- Five minutes into the fourth quarter, CUW tied the game with a six-play, 60-yard drive finishing with a touchdown run by the quarterback and a successful two-point attempt.
- WLC answered with a touchdown drive of its own, as junior Justin Parbs (Milwaukee, Wis.) found the endzone on a one-yard rush to cap off a nine-play, 68-yard drive.
- Concordia Wisconsin marched down in the closing minutes and took a 39-38 lead on a touchdown pass and two-point conversion. The drive spanned two and a half minutes and left just 0:46 on the clock for the Warriors.
- Wisconsin Lutheran advanced the ball to the Falcons 33-yard line, but Yockey's attempt at the endzone in the closing seconds was intercepted, allowing CUW to hold onto a one-point victory.
- Yockey completed 34 of 58 passes for 474 yards, a school-record, and four touchdowns. He added 26 yards on the ground over five carries.
- Parbs rushed for 65 yards on 16 carries with one touchdown. He also finished with 73 receiving yards on seven receptions.
- Jewell and Nicksion each went over the 100-yard receiving mark for the second straight game. Jewell hauled in seven passes for 129 yards and a score while Nicksion scored twice on seven catches for 110 yards. DuPree finished just shy of the century mark with 96 receiving yards on five catches.
- The Warriors offense put up 566 yards and 7.0 yards per play. WLC converted 53 percent (9-of-17) of its third down attempts.
- Junior Ty Castillo (San Antonio, Texas) recorded a team-high 13 tackles and senior Mykael Ignaszak (Cudahy, Wis.) finished with 10 tackles including a sack.
- Junior Nathan Ewaskowitz (Sister Bay, Wis.) tallied a pair of sacks while also adding 2.5 tackles for loss.
- James Linn completed 26 of 44 passes for 367 yards and three touchdowns. He also paced the team in rushing with 63 yards and another score. Tim Houlihan secured 10 passes for 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
- Troy Stewart finished with eight tackles and also broke up four passes.
