Warriors Suffer Third Straight Shutout

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team suffered its third straight shutout on Wednesday night, falling to the Marian Sabres 4-0 in a NACC match at Warriors Soccer Field.

• Final Score: Marian 4, Wisconsin Lutheran 0
• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (2-3-0, 2-3-0 NACC), Marian (3-2-0, 3-2-0 NACC)
• Location: Warriors Soccer Field, Wauwatosa, Wis.

• The Sabres scored just seven minutes into the match on an unassisted goal from Chase Hayden. The Warriors put two shots on frame in the 14th and 15th minute, but both were stopped by Marian's keeper.
• Brad Leach gave MU a 2-0 lead in the 36th minute off an assist from Hayden. That score stood through halftime.
• The visitors netted their final two scores within a 30-second period in the 56th minute for a 4-0 lead. WLC, which was playing shorthanded since the 13th minute, added one more shot on target in the 76th minute, but was unsuccessful.

• Junior Aedon Meurer (Waukesha, Wis.), junior Seth Boese (New Berlin, Wis.), and freshman Jerry Jacinto (Kenosha, Wis.) each registered a shot on goal for the Warriors.
• WLC finished with 10 total shots for the match and totaled five corner kicks. Freshman Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) made five saves in the match.

• Max Kauffman placed two of his three shots on target and scored twice for the Sabres, who recorded 13 total shots for the game. Kevin Cervantes made three saves in over 81 minutes to action to record the win.

• The Warriors have a week off before they host NACC foe Concordia Wisconsin (3-1-0, 3-1-0 NACC) on Wednesday, April 7 at 7 p.m. Live coverage links will be available at WLCSports.com.
