(WLCSports.com) – Junior Rebecca Chavez (Chicago, Ill.) recorded a career-high 13 kills and the Wisconsin Lutheran College women's volleyball team swept Lakeland on the road for the first time since 2012 on Wednesday night inside Woltzen Gymnasium. The Warriors defeated the Muskies by scores of 26-24, 25-16, and 25-23 to open conference play with a win for the fourth straight year.

- The Warriors trailed by three points on five different occasions in the first set, but took their first lead following a 5-0 scoring run that put them ahead 22-18. WLC never trailed again en route to a 26-24 opening-set victory.
- Wisconsin Lutheran found itself looking up at an 11-8 deficit in the second set, but a 6-0 scoring run flipped the script. The Green and White later used five straight points to win set two, 25-16.
- A pair of five-point scoring runs in the third set gave the Warriors a 14-7 lead as they held off the hosts for a 25-23 win.
- Chavez led all players with 13 kills for a .391 hitting percentage. Junior Emily Sarles (Lombard, Ill.) distributed a match-high 25 assists. Defensively, junior Ally Goba (Mukwonago, Wis.) collected a match-best 20 digs.
