Carroll Claims Non-Conference Win Over Wisconsin Lutheran

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end on Wednesday afternoon, falling 7-2 to Carroll in non-conference action at the Jean Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Complex.

• The Pioneers posted wins over the Warriors at all three doubles flights to begin match play. Carroll also claimed straight-set victories at the first four singles positions. 
• Freshman Ali Schmidt (Germantown, Wis.) continued her unbeaten season in singles play, defeating her opponent 7-5, 6-1 at No. 5 singles to improve to 10-0 overall.
• Sophomore Gabrielle Medema (Appleton, Wis.) moved to 4-1 in singles play on the year with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles.

• The Warriors will next compete in the ITA Midwest Regional scheduled Friday through Monday at the Warhawk Outdoor Tennis Complex in Whitewater.
