Box Score WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – The Wisconsin Lutheran College football team carried a four-point lead into halftime, but visiting Lake Forest scored 21 unanswered points in the second half as the Foresters turned back the Warriors 27-10 in the season opener for both teams on Saturday night at Raabe Stadium.

- The Foresters were the first to score on their second possession of the first quarter, driving 66 yards on just four plays. Tre Stewart found A.J. Jackson for a 14-yard touchdown but the point after attempt was unsuccessful.
- The Warriors' next drive was stopped at Lake Forest's six-yard line, but WLC was able to make a stop and converted three points on their next possession. Freshman Arnulfo Ortega (Laredo, Texas) connected on a 38-yard field goal with 12:24 left in the second quarter to cut the deficit in half.
- After stopping Lake Forest for the third time in the half, Wisconsin Lutheran put together its longest scoring drive of the game late in the second quarter. The Green and White drove 92 yards on 12 plays, capped by a six-yard touchdown pass from senior Nick Yockey (Gig Harbor, Wash.) to freshman Mitchel Smarzinski (Kimberly, Wis.) for a 10-6 lead which stood till the half.
- Lake Forest scored on a 48-yard touchdown pass just four plays into the third quarter and used a 94-yard scoring drive on its ensuing possession to take a 10-point lead with just over seven minutes left in the third quarter.
- WLC had two of its three drives in the third quarter result in turnovers as LFC held a 20-10 advantage after three.
- The final points of the game came with just over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter on a Stewart 28-yard touchdown run.
- Yockey threw for 306 yards and a touchdown, while junior Jordan Jewell (Hartford, Wis.) caught three passes for 94 yards. Senior Justin Parbs (Brookfield, Wis.) carried the ball 15 times for 91 yards.
- Senior Ty Castillo (Palmetto, Fla.) posted a game-high 15 tackles and freshman Alec Ly (Las Vegas, Nev.) had eight tackles, including two for a loss.
