Women's Soccer Drops Season Finale At MSOE

Wasiak scores second goal of the season

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped its final game of the 2022 season 2-1 to MSOE on Wednesday at Viets Field.

The Warriors (5-12-1, 2-9-1 NACC), who had a shot on goal from junior Peyton Killberg (Racine, Wis.) just 0:30 seconds into the match, took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute over the Raiders (13-3-4, 9-1-2 NACC).

Senior Katie Wasiak (Muskego, Wis.) netted her second goal of the season when she scored unassisted to give WLC the early advantage.

Following three saves from junior goalkeeper Christian Casimir (Kaukauna, Wis.), MSOE knotted the score at 1-1 in the 41st minute on goal from Nicole Robb.

The match remained deadlocked at 1-1 for the first 35 minutes of the second half. However, the Raiders went in front in the 75th minute on a goal from Faith Papazoglou, assisted by Elizabeth Kuhn.

Wasiak and Killberg had one shot each for Wisconsin Lutheran, which received seven saves from Casimir. 

Grace Quinn tallied a team-high six shots for MSOE, which finished with 27 shots and 12 corner kicks.
