Box Score GLENDALE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College wrapped up the fall segment of its schedule with a commanding 8-1 win over MSOE on Sunday at Nicolet High School.
The Warriors (7-5, 6-2 NACC), who closed conference play with their fifth straight NACC dual win, also earned their fifth consecutive win over the Raiders (5-7, 5-3 NACC).
WLC grabbed three points from MSOE in doubles play to start the match. Juniors
Katelynn Haskell (Santa Maria, Calif.) and
Jena Smith (Lake Mills, Wis.) won 8-4 at No. 1 over Karley Way and Gabrielle Haensgen. Juniors
Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) and
Sky Pope (Macon Ga.) were 8-6 winners over Michaela Haensgen and Yuti Modi at No. 2. Sophomore
Ali Schmidt (Germantown, Wis.) and freshman
Mary Meghrian (Peoria, Ill.) earned an 8-7 win at No. 3 over Brenna Sheehan and Bethany Noonan.
In singles play, Haskell defeated Way 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1, Smith defeated Michaela Haensgen 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2, Hawley defeated Hope Triplett 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3, Schmidt defeated Modi 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4, and Meghrian defeated Noonan 6-4, 6-3 at No. 6.Â
Wisconsin Lutheran, which has clinched a NACC Tournament berth for the fifth straight year, resumes its schedule in the spring season.
