(WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team started its spring slate right where it left off in the fall, with a 4-3 non-conference win over NAIA opponent St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday afternoon at Challenge Fitness. It was the Warriors' fourth straight dual victory.

- The Warriors dropped all three doubles contests to start the match against the Saints, who lost just two games to claim the first point of the match.
- After suffering defeats at the first two singles slots, WLC rallied for four straight victories. Sophomore Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 3. Freshman Ali Schmidt (Germantown, Wis.) secured a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 4. Sophomore Sky Pope (Macon, Ga.) was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 5. Freshman Haley Olson (Appleton, Wis.) clinched the match for Wisconsin Lutheran at No. 6 singles, holding on for a 7-5, 7-5 win.
- The Warriors next host Loras (8-5) on Sunday, March 6 in a non-conference match. First serve is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club in Jackson.
