DUBUQUE, Iowa (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team split a pair of non-conference matches on Saturday in Dubuque, Iowa. The Warriors swept the host Spartans 7-0 before dropping a 6-3 decision to NAIA opponent Grand View at Frank Farber Tennis Courts.

- The Warriors took both of the contested doubles matches against the Spartans by identical 8-2 scores. WLC's No. 1 team of sophomores Jena Smith (Lake Mills, Wis.) and Katelynn Haskell (Santa Maria, Calif.) started the contest with a win. The No. 2 tandem of sophomore Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) and freshman Ali Schmidt (Germantown, Wis.) picked up their team-leading eighth victory of the year.
- Wisconsin Lutheran won all five contested singles flights in straight sets. Smith was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 1, Haskell collected a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2, Schmidt secured a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3, Hawley blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, and sophomore Sky Pope (Macon, Ga.) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5.
- Smith and Haskell tied for the team lead with their eighth doubles victory by virtue of an 8-3 win over the Vikings' top team in their second match of the day. The contests at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles went to Grand View.
- The Warriors picked up a pair of victories in singles play, with Schmidt holding on for a three-set (6-3, 3-6, 10-4) win at No. 4 for her 17th win of the season, while Pope posted a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 5 to improve her season singles record to 4-0.
- The Warriors next host Olivet Nararene (3-7) on Friday, March 25 for a 12 p.m. non-conference match at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club in Jackson.
