Pointers Prevail Over Warriors In Non-Conference Match

JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's tennis team was defeated by UW-Stevens Point on Saturday at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club. The Warriors dropped a 9-0 decision to the Pointers in non-conference action.

• Records: Wisconsin Lutheran (10-9), UW-Stevens Point (18-4)
• Location: Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club, Jackson, Wis.

• The Warriors dropped all three doubles matches against UWSP, but WLC's No. 2 team of sophomores Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) and Sky Pope (Macon, Ga.) were narrowly defeated 8-6.
• UW-Stevens Point was victorious in all six singles flights, Hawley and Pope came up on the short end of three-set setbacks at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively, by scores of 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 and 6-3, 4-6, 10-5.

• The Warriors are next scheduled to play a non-conference match at Carroll (6-9) on Tuesday. First serve is set for 3 p.m. at the Jean Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Complex in Waukesha.
