WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College was downed by Illinois Tech 8-0 on Saturday in a NACC match at Warriors Soccer Field.
The Scarlet Hawks (5-2-0, 1-1-0 NACC) netted three goals in the first half to take a 3-0 halftime lead over the Warriors (2-5-0, 0-2-0 NACC). IIT scored in the 12th, 18th, and 40th minute of the opening stanza.
In the second half, Illinois Tech added to its lead with five more goals coming in the 46th, 60th, 65th, 75th, and 90th minute.Â
Amelia Moseman and Laura Rios each scored twice for the Scarlet Hawks, while Jamie Griggs and Clàudia Martí Fanlo had two assists apiece.
Sophomore
Brooke Bluhm (New Berlin, Wis.) had WLC's only shot of the game and junior goalkeeper
Christian Casimir (Kaukauna, Wis.) made 10 saves.
