Warriors Fall 3-1 At Home To Aurora

Sanchez Cordero scores sixth goal of the season for WLC

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College fell 3-1 to Aurora on Wednesday in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contest at a drizzly Warriors Soccer Field.

The Warriors (7-7-1, 4-7-0 NACC), who donned pink uniforms in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, suffered their third straight setback to the Spartans (6-5-3, 6-3-2 NACC).

Both teams tallied two shots within the first 13 minutes of play, but AU struck first in the 15th minute on a goal from Aidyn Hesuse assisted by Jessica Mirsky. The score remained 1-0 until halftime.

Aurora added its second and third goals of the match in the 47th and 52nd minute from Mirsky and Emma Delgado for a 3-0 advantage. WLC found the back of the net in the 69th minute when junior Adlin Sanchez Cordero (Milwaukee, Wis.) lobbed a ball into the bottom right corner of the net for her sixth goal of the season.

Wisconsin Lutheran finished with five shots, including three on target. Sanchez Cordero collected a team-high two shots, both of which landed on frame. Senior Christian Casimir (Kaukauna, Wis.) made five saves in the loss.

The Warriors continue their three-game homestand on Saturday when they host NACC-leading Illinois Tech (14-2-1, 11-0-0 NACC) at 1 p.m. Live coverage links will be available at WLCSports.com.
