DE PERE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Fifth-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran College played to a scoreless draw through two overtimes with fourth-seeded St. Norbert, but the Green Knights edged the Warriors 3-2 in a dramatic penalty kick shootout on Saturday in a NACC Tournament Quarterfinal at Donald J. Schneider Stadium.
WLC (8-7-3, 6-6-0 NACC) and SNC (8-6-4, 7-3-2 NACC) battled through a scoreless opening 45 minutes of action. Senior
Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) saved the only two shots on goal from either team in the first half.Â
Sophomore
Owen Schneider (Waterford, Wis.) tallied Wisconsin Lutheran's first shot on frame in the 72nd minute, and Galvan again made a pair of stops in the second half to send the contest to a pair of overtime periods.
Senior
Ben Meaux (Franklin, Wis.) registered the only shot on the goal during both extra periods, coming in the 95th minute. The match moved onto a penalty kick shootout following 110 minutes of scoreless action.
The Warriors held a 2-1 lead over St. Norbert through the top of the third of the shootout. Sophomore

Titus Kostrzewa (Wauwatosa, Wis.) connected on the team's first to chances, while Galvan made a save in the top of the second and the Green Knights' third attempt sailed high.
WLC's final three attempts were turned away by SNC goalkeeper Ryan Fleming, and the hosts were successful on their final two tries to come from behind.
Wisconsin Lutheran was narrowly outshot 7-6 but owned a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. Meaux led the team with two shots, while Galvan made four saves.
