NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its spring schedule on Friday against unbeaten North Central (Ill.) at Naperville Tennis Club. The host Cardinals defeated the visiting Warriors 9-0.
NCC (14-0) collected three doubles wins over WLC (7-6) to open the non-conference dual by scores of 8-0, 8-1, and 8-0. In singles play, North Central was straight set winners at all six positions. Freshman
Mary Meghrian (Peoria, Ill.) won the most games of any Wisconsin Lutheran singles player, but fell 6-3, 6-1.
The Warriors stay in Illinois on Sunday for another non-conference match against St. Francis (0-2). First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Challenge Fitness in Lockport, Illinois.
