JACKSON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College suffered an 8-1 non-conference defeat against Wartburg on Thursday at Pleasant Valley Tennis and Fitness Club.
The Warriors (8-9) dropped all three doubles contests to the Knights (13-9) to begin play. Wartburg won five of six singles matches, including a tie-breaking second set at No. 4 singles and a third-set tiebreak at No. 5.Â

Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) picked up WLC's lone win of the day at No. 3 singles, defeating WC's Georgia Nissen 6-4, 7-5.
Third-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran is scheduled to next host sixth-seeded Lakeland (5-7, 3-5 NACC) on Tuesday, April 25 in a NACC Tournament First Round match. The conference tournament contest is slated to start at 10:30 a.m. at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.
