MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College secured its second straight sweep on Thursday by dispatching Alverno in three sets at Reiman Gymnasium.
The Warriors (6-7, 2-0 NACC), who improved to a perfect 28-0 all-time against the Inferno (1-7, 0-2 NACC), won in three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-18, 26-24. WLC, which posted its second highest hitting percentage of the season at .267, tallied 42 kills, 15 errors, and 101 attempts.
Sophomores
Lily Schuetz (Lake Mills, Wis.) and
Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with nine kills each. Schuetz hit an impressive .412 for the match, while Wigley tied a match-high with 10 digs.
Junior
Karah Valerio (Pewaukee, Wis.) paced the Warriors with 16 assists, and junior
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) and freshman
Sage August (Kiel, Wis.) collected three service aces apiece.
