WHITEWATER, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College suffered its first defeat of the 2023 season on Wednesday, falling 3-0 to UW-Whitewater in a physical non-conference contest at Robert Fiskum Field.
The Warhawks (3-0-0) took a 1-0 lead over the Warriors (0-1-2) in just the 9th minute on an unassisted goal from Hegan Genua. The score remained 1-0 in favor of UWW at halftime despite WLC holding a 9-6 advantage in the shot column. Senior

Eight minutes into the second half, Whitewater netted its second goal of the contest courtesy of Cooper Re with an assist from Aidan Glancey. Freshman
Aydan Scortino (Pewaukee, Wis.) registered the Warriors' two shots on goal in the second half, but both were turned away. The Warhawks added their final tally in the 89th minute from Alex Gotz unassisted.
UWW held a slim edge in shots (14-12) and corner kicks (7-4). Leffel and Scortino recorded three shots apiece for WLC. Senior
