WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College was dealt its first home loss of the season on Saturday, falling 1-0 to Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference perennial power Dominican at Warriors Soccer Field.
The Warriors (8-5-2, 4-3-2 NACC) played through a scoreless first half with the Stars for the fourth time in their last five outings, despite a couple of close scoring opportunities. Graduate student
Ben Meaux's (Franklin, Wis.) header sailed over the left corner of the net less than a minute in, and sophomore
Hector Cervantes' (Milwaukee, Wis.) shot from close range went over the top in the 16th minute. Senior
Puma Galvan (Racine, Wis.) made the only first-half save, coming in the seventh minute.

Aydan Scortino (Pewaukee, Wis.) had a shot go over the top right of the goal in the 71st minute, and sophomore
Andrew King (East Moline, Ill.) had his shot sneak by the left post in the 74th minute. DU broke the scoreless contest in the 81st minute when Oscar Montejano's shot from the top of the box found the bottom left corner for the eventual game-winning score.
WLC, which was edged 8-5 in shots and 5-1 in corner kicks, received one shot each from different players. Both teams committed 10 fouls. Galvan finished with a pair of saves.Â
John Cronnolly tallied a match-high four shots for Dominican (9-4-3, 6-1-2 NACC). Shane Marinkovich faced five shots without having to make a save.
