GLENDALE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College saw its three-match Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference winning streak snapped by MSOE 5-2 on Tuesday at Nicolet High School.
The Warriors (4-5, 3-4 NACC) fell behind early as they were swept by MSOE (5-3, 5-1 NACC) in doubles play (6-2), (6-4), (6-2), as the Raiders picked up the point.
Wisconsin Lutheran was able to earn a pair of wins in singles action. Senior
Ali Schmidt (Germantown, Wis.) won 6-4, 6-0 over Karley Way at No. 1 singles for her sixth victory of the season, while junior
Desirae Pugh (Ixonia, Wis.) took down Brenna Sheehan 6-4, 6-4 at No. 6 singles. Freshman
Amelia Kelley (Appleton, Wis.) fell short in three sets at No. 4 singles 7-6, 4-6, 10-7.
WLC returns home for a NACC matchup with Illinois Tech (3-4, 3-2 NACC) on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Hart Park in Wauwatosa.
