NACC Champion Scarlet Hawks Too Much For Wisconsin Lutheran

Warriors tied for seventh in NACC standings as final game looms

CHICAGO, Ill. (WLCSports.com) - Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular season champion Illinois Tech defeated Wisconsin Lutheran College 9-0 on Saturday at Stuart Field.

The Scarlet Hawks struck first with a goal in the eighth minute. They tacked on four more goals in the 24th, 27th, 36th, and 40th minute to take a 5-0 lead heading into halftime. The Warriors were held without a shot in the opening frame.

IIT added on four more goals in the second half, the first in 52nd minute, with the rest coming in the 58th, 76th, and 87th minute.

Freshman Morgan Bluhm (New Berlin, Wis.) tallied the lone shot for Wisconsin Lutheran.

Caitie Chismarich had five shots and two goals for the Scarlet Hawks (13-2-2, 10-0-1 NACC), who recorded 35 shots and 19 corner kicks.
