Wisconsin Lutheran Suffers NACC Sweep To Spartans

Kane leads Warriors with nine kills

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College suffered a 3-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference sweep to Aurora on Saturday at the Time of Grace Center.

WLC held an early 2-1 advantage in the opening set, but a 10-2 run from AU gave them an 11-4 lead. Aurora never relinquished its lead, extending it to 15 as it won the first set 25-10.

The Spartans began the second set on a 4-1 spurt. Both teams exchanged points and AU held a 10-7 lead. That was all the closer Wisconsin Lutheran would get, as Aurora closed out the set on a 5-1 run, and took the second set by a score of 25-14.

The Spartans came out hot to start the third set, scoring the first five points. After some back-and-forth action, the Warriors went on a 5-0 scoring run, resulting in a 15-12 deficit. WLC was unable to close the gap, as AU won the third set 25-20.
