Warriors' Week In Florida Wraps-Up With Setback To Skidmore

WLC opens conference play next Saturday at Aurora

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College wrapped up a seven-game week in Florida with a 12-1 setback to Skidmore on Friday at Terry Park.

The Thoroughbreds (4-6) jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after one inning of play on just one hit. The Warriors (4-9) picked up a run in the top of the second thanks to a RBI single from sophomore Eli Michaelis (Wauwatosa, Wis.) which scored junior Noah Zaccanti (Geneva, Ill.). Michaelis led the offense as he tallied two of Wisconsin Lutheran's four hits and its lone RBI. Zaccanti and sophomore Xavier Tellez (San Antonio, Texas) added one hit apeice.

The Warriors open Northern Athletics Collegiate Conferecne play next Saturday, March 23 against eighth-ranked Aurora (10-2). First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Jim Schmid Field in Montgomery, Illinois. Live coverage links can be found at WLCSports.com.
