WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College completed a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference sweep over Lakeland on Wednesday at Neumann Family Field. The Warriors picked up a dominant 10-2 victory in the opener before securing a 4-3 walk-off win over the Muskies in the nightcap.
LU (6-18, 1-11 NACC) put an unearned first-inning run on the board in the opener, but WLC (6-19, 2-10 NACC) responded by plating a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning. Junior

Aiden Montgomery (St. Louis, Mo.) scored on a fielding error by the shortstop. Wisconsin Lutheran tacked on three more in the bottom of the third. Freshman

Foster Engelhardt (North Richland Hills, Texas) on a fielder's choice and freshman
Ian Rintelman (Muskego, Wis.) followed it up with a two-run homerun to left, scoring Ratliff and giving the Warriors a 5-1 lead.
Lakeland plated a run in the top of the fourth, but WLC answered right back with a sac fly from Hodgins, scoring Montgomery in the bottom of the inning. Wisconsin Lutheran tallied its final four runs in the bottom of the fifth. Junior
Elijah Shevey (Muskego, Wis.) drove in Rintelman with a squeeze bunt, sophomore
Xavier Tellez (San Antonio, Texas) stole home on a double steal, Montgomery doubled to left center, scoring senior
Henry Strupp (Watertown, Wis.), and Engelhardt drove in Montgomery with a double of his own.
Montgomery led the Warriors with three hits and Engelhardt tacked on two more. Hodgins and Rintelman each drove in a pair of runs. Junior
Matt Brissette (Mukwonago, Wis.) picked up the win as he tossed a complete game allowing just one earned run on two hits, while tallying three strikeouts.Â
Following five scoreless frames to start game two, WLC scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a RBI single from Strupp, scoring sophomore
Tim Frerking (Oconomowoc, Wis.). Rintelman drove in Tellez later in the inning to give Wisconsin Lutheran a 2-0 lead. The Muskies took the lead in the top of the eighth as they plated three unearned runs and held a one-run lead heading into the bottom of the ninth. Montgomery tied the game with a one-out double, scoring Strupp who singled to leadoff the inning. After a pair of intentional walks to load the bases, sophomore
Lucas Oswald (Muskego, Wis.) walked it off with a sac fly to center on the first pitch he saw, scoring Montgomery from third for the game-winning run.
Montgomery, Engelhardt, and Strupp each tallied two hits for the Warriors and four different players collected a RBI. Shevey threw seven scoreless innings allowing five hits and striking out three. Junior
Will Tucholski (Geneva, Ill.) picked up the win in relief, fanning three over the final 1.1 innings.
