Ali Schmidt (Germantown, Wis.) shutout Allison Pavlovec and Chase Polyak, 8-0, at No. 1. Seniors
Izzy Hawley (Allen Park, Mich.) and
Sky Pope (Macon, Ga.) edged Andreanna Wilke and Jessica Griepentrog, 8-6, at No. 2. Junior
Haley Olson (Appleton, Wis.) and freshman
Maddy Olson (Onalaska, Wis.) topped Kelly Kline and Emma Ziebell, 8-5, at No. 3.
WLC collected straight set singles victories at five of the six positions. Haskell cruised past Polyak 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1, Schmidt secured a 7-5, 6-3 win over Wilke at No. 2, Hawley handled Pavlovec 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3,
Haley Olson ousted Aubrey Malotky 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5, and
Maddy Olson overcame Isabella DeMeuse 6-0, 7-6 (7-1) at No. 6.
Third-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran begins NACC Tournament play on Monday, April 29 with a first round matchup against sixth-seeded Lakeland (7-5, 5-4 NACC). First serve is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Hart Park. WLC edged LU 6-3 in its lone regular season meeting on October 1 in Kohler.
