WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College wrapped up its 2024 season on Friday with a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference defeats to Marian by scores of 12-2 and 9-2 on Senior Day at Neumann Family Field.
The Sabres (24-14, 17-7 NACC) jumped out to an early advantage in game one as they plated six runs in the first inning. They added three in the second and one in the third to take a 10-0 lead. Foster Engelhardt (North Richland Hills, Texas) that scored sophomore
Tim Frerking (Oconomowoc, Wis.). WLC scored again in the bottom of the seventh as Frerking drove in senior
Henry Strupp (Watertown, Wis.) with a sacrifice fly.

Ian Rintelman (Muskego, Wis.) each recorded two hits for Wisconsin Lutheran. Engelhardt and Frerking each drove in a run.
Marian scored three runs between the first and second inning of game two on just one hit to take an early 3-0 lead. The Warriors snapped their scoreless streak in the bottom of the sixth as Rintelman homered to left and Engelhardt homered to left two batters later to make it 3-2. MU snapped a streak of 17 straight batters retired in the eighth inning with three runs on two hits, before adding three more in the ninth.Â
Rintelman finished with three hits and Engelhardt tallied two. Each player also drove in a run. Senior
