MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) -Â Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a pair of non-conference matches against Wheaton and Dubuque at its home quadrangular on Saturday at Time of Grace Center.
The Warriors (3-3) fell to the Thunder (5-1) in four sets by scores of 26-24, 18-25, 25-11, 25-19. WLC finished the opening match by hitting .155 with with 45 kills, 22 errors, and 148 attempts. WC posted a .275 hitting percentage with 52 kills, 16 errors, and 131 attempts.
Junior
Lydia Biggin (Burlington, Wis.) led Wisconsin Lutheran with 13 kills for a .440 percentage. She also served up four service aces. Junior
Bailey Halliburton (Germantown, Wis.) added 10 kills and a team-high four blocks assists. Seniors
Karah Valerio (Pewaukee, Wis.) and
Emma Incaprero (Mauston, Wis.) registered 22 and 12 assists, respectively. Senior
Kylee Gnabasik (Jefferson, Wis.) and junior
Kayla Wigley (Milwaukee, Wis.) tallied 17 and 11 digs each.
Caroline Capps collected a match-high 16 kills while hitting .556 for Wheaton.
The Warriors dropped their weekend finale to the Spartans (5-3) by scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-16. WLC recorded 31 kills, 24 errors, and 120 attempts for a .058 hitting percentage. UD had 36 kills, 12 errors, and 111 attempts for a .216 hitting percentage.
Biggin, Halliburton, and senior
Amahra Matthai (Plover, Wis.) had six kills apiece to lead WLC. Valerio and Incaprero added 16 and 10 assists, respectively, while Gnabasik led the team with 11 digs.
Emma Powell and Payton Uptagraft paced Dubuque with nine kills each. Caitlin Jensen recorded 11 total blocks.
