RIPON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College dropped a tough 4-3 non-conference decision on Saturday against Ripon at Willmore Center.
The Warriors' No. 2 doubles team of sophomore
Cameron Borchert (Loveland, Colo.) and junior
TaDarion Perkins (Milwaukee, Wis.) earned their second consecutive win with a 6-2 triumph against the Red Hawks' Ty Rondestvedt and Ryan Richter. RC picked up the opening point with victories of 6-4 and 6-1 at No. 1 and No. 3, respectively.
WLC gathered three three-set tiebreaking victories in singles competition. Borchert collected a 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 comeback victory at No. 3, while Perkins posted his second win of the contest at No. 4 by scores of 6-2, 3-6, 10-7. Freshman
Myles Harris (Milwaukee, Wis.) tallied his first victory of the season, 3-6, 6-0, 10-7 at No. 5. The Red Hawks won the decisive final match behind Richter's 7-5, 6-4 decision at No. 6.
