FRANKLIN, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College was swept by Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference-leading Dominican 10-1 and 7-1 on Saturday at The Rock Sports Complex.
GAME 1
The Warriors trailed 2-0 after three innings before sophomore
Madison Heller (South Milwaukee, Wis.) sparked the offense with a leadoff single in the fourth, eventually coming around to score on a two-out RBI single by freshman
Kylie Gaston (Albertville, Minn.) — the lone run of the game for WLC. The Stars plated six runs on six hits in the fifth, while adding their final two tallies in the seventh.
Gaston led Wisconsin Lutheran with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Four other players contributed knocks to a six-hit day for the Warriors.
Liliana Santoya went 2-for-3 with a RBI and three runs scored for DU, while Ryley Davis and Paytin Salfi added two hits apiece. Emma Woodhouse won her 11th game of the season in the circle with one run allowed over 6.0 innings.
GAME 2
Following a scoreless first three innings, Dominican plated runs in three consecutive frames, including a four-spot in the fourth. The Warriors' lone run came in the bottom of the fifth when sophomore
Sommer Krull (New London, Wis.) led off with a double to left field and later came around to score on a RBI groundout by senior
Allison Powers (Sun Prairie, Wis.), putting WLC on the board.

Maritza Martinez (Kenosha, Wis.) recorded hits for Wisconsin Lutheran. Freshman
Teagan Piven (Plainfield, Ill.) allowed one earned run in 4.0 relief innings.
Priscylla Rutter went 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Stars (21-7, 12-2 NACC). Rhiannon Rubio earned her sixth win of the season after giving up one earned run in 6.0 innings.
