WLC To Rename Catalyst Court In Honor Of Skip Noon

Campaign underway to refinish main court playing surface

MILWAUKEE (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College is proud to announce that Catalyst Court will be renamed Skip Noon – Catalyst Court in honor of longtime Director of Athletics and former men's basketball coach, Skip Noon, recognizing his remarkable 33 years of service to Warriors Athletics.

WLC is embarking on a fundraising campaign to refinish the main court playing surface to include updated floor markings and reflect the new court name.

The renaming commemorates Noon's extraordinary contributions to the College, where he has served as a visionary leader, mentor, and champion of student-athletes since arriving in 1992. Over the course of his tenure, Noon transformed Wisconsin Lutheran Athletics, overseeing extensive facility improvements, expanding sport offerings, and guiding Warriors' teams to 37 conference championships and 32 NCAA postseason appearances.

Under Noon's leadership, WLC upgraded its athletic facilities, including multiple renovations to the Recreation Complex where Catalyst Court is located. His efforts led to the development of the Sports Performance Center, Mortell Family Golf Center, enhanced fitness spaces, and new bleachers and flooring inside the Time of Grace Center.

In addition to his administrative leadership, Noon enjoyed an illustrious coaching career, recording 318 victories over 25 seasons as Wisconsin Lutheran head men's basketball coach—the most wins in program history. He guided the Warriors to six conference titles, multiple national tournament appearances, and mentored numerous All-American and all-conference student-athletes.

Noon will officially retire on June 30, 2025.
