WLC Wraps Up Season At Concordia Wisconsin

Heezen and Perkins play in final career contests for Warriors

MEQUON, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College closed out its 2025-2026 season on Sunday with a 7-0 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference loss to Concordia Wisconsin at CUW Tennis Courts.

The Falcons (12-6, 3-3 NACC) took control early by sweeping doubles play to earn the opening point. At No. 1 doubles, senior Connor Heezen (Pulaski, Wis.) and junior Cameron Borchert (Loveland, Colo.) fell 6-1 to Hayden Latus and Murilo Zeni. Senior TaDarion Perkins (Milwaukee, Wis.) and sophomore Myles Harris (Milwaukee, Wis.) battled at No. 2 doubles before dropping a 6-3 decision to Ryan Bilan and Kristopher Greenhaw. CUW then completed the sweep at No. 3 doubles, where junior Aidan Mattek (Appleton, Wis.) and freshman Zach Nelson (Watertown, Wis.) were defeated 6-0 by Gustavo Funo and Renan Botelho.

In singles action, Concordia Wisconsin carried that momentum into straight-set victories at five of the six positions. Heezen was topped by Latus 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Borchert fell 6-1, 6-0 to Zeni at No. 2. Perkins was defeated 6-0, 6-1 by Funo in the No. 3 flight.

The most competitive match of the afternoon came at No. 4 singles, where Harris opened with a 6-3 first-set win over Bilan before the Falcon rallied to take the second set 6-4 and edge the deciding super tiebreak 10-3. At No. 5 singles, Mattek dropped a 6-0, 6-1 match to Botelho, and Nelson was defeated 6-0, 6-1 by Greenhaw at No. 6 singles.

Sunday's dual marked the final match of the 2025-2026 season for the Warriors, who conclude the year with an 0-12 overall record and 0-6 mark in NACC play.
