Brands, Krull Collect CSC Academic All-District® Softball Honors

Krull recognized for second straight season

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) - Wisconsin Lutheran College's Emily Brands (Zeeland, Mich.) and Sommer Krull (New London, Wis.) have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Softball Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Brands, a senior Biology major and right-handed pitcher, and Krull, a junior Accounting and Finance major and infielder, were the Warriors' student-athletes selected to the CSC Academic All-District® Softball Team. Krull was honored for a second straight year.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom across all of NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

In order to earn CSC Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must hold a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically, and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
