WAUWATOSA, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened its 2026 season on Tuesday with a 3-0 non-conference loss to Ripon at Warriors Soccer Field.

The Warriors (0-1-0) held the Red Hawks (1-0-0) scoreless for more than 60 minutes after the visitors took a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. Easton Wolfram scored at the 19:15 mark off an assist from Thomas Geocaris to give the visitors the advantage.

RC added an insurance goal in the 83rd minute when Moaye Yao scored off an assist from Seth Schroeder. Ripon added its third goal in the final minute, with Isaac Kushner scoring off another assist from Schroeder.

WLC had several opportunities to get on the scoreboard but could not find the back of the net. Wisconsin Lutheran finished with 10 shots, including four on target, while the Red Hawks recorded 18 shots and 10 shots on goal. Senior Andrew King (East Moline, Ill.) led the Warriors with two shots, both of which were on target.

Freshman goalkeeper Morgan Determan (Racine, Wis.) made four saves in just over 58 minutes of action to keep WLC within striking distance. Junior Owen Gault (Moline, Ill.) added three saves in relief during the final 31:36.

RC goalkeeper Sebastian Covarrubias made four saves to record the shutout. Ripon also held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Wisconsin Lutheran continues its busy three-game opening week on Saturday, traveling to Mankato, Minnesota, for a 1 p.m. non-conference contest against Bethany Lutheran (0-0-1).
