MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College opened the 2026 season in impressive fashion on Tuesday, cruising to a 5-0 non-conference shutout victory over Mount Mary at MMU Soccer Field.

The Warriors (1-0-0) controlled play from start to finish, outshooting the Blue Angels (0-1-0) 41-4 and putting 27 shots on target. WLC limited MMU to just one shot on goal.

Wisconsin Lutheran wasted little time finding the back of the net, scoring three times in the first half to take a commanding 3-0 lead into halftime.
Junior Joleigh Blahnik (De Pere, Wis.) opened the scoring off an assist from junior Morgan Bluhm (New Berlin, Wis.). Bluhm then scored twice before halftime, with her first goal assisted by senior Anna Ruchti (Pewaukee, Wis.) and her second coming unassisted.

The Warriors added two more goals in the second half. Junior Ava Zarling (Jackson, Wis.) scored both goals, the first assisted by Bluhm and the second unassisted.

Zarling finished with four shots, all of which were on target, while Bluhm recorded three shots and two goals and three shots on goal. Juniors Emma Adema (Sheboygan, Wis.) and Alaena Zastrow (De Pere, Wis.) also finished with four shots.

Junior goalkeeper Sam Schroeder (Brookfield, Wis.) earned the shutout in the first half, making one save before giving way to senior Kallista Street (Kenosha, Wis.), who played the second half.

With Tuesday's victory, WLC improved to 13-0-0 all-time against Mount Mary.

Wisconsin Lutheran continues its season-opening road trip Thursday, traveling to Ripon (1-0-0) for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference contest against the Red Hawks at Hopp Stadium.
