JANESVILLE, Wis. (WLCSports.com) – Wisconsin Lutheran College concluded its play at the season-opening Culver's Edgewood Fall Invitational on Saturday, finishing 18th in a competitive field at Glen Erin Golf Club.
The Warriors posted a two-day total of 625 (320-305) on the par-71, 6,849-yard course. Leading the way for WLC was junior
Isaiah Schaser (Newburg, Wis.), who tied for 44th place with a 151 (78-73). Freshman
Kaden Kusserow (New London, Wis.) followed closely, finishing in a tie for 57th with a 153 (80-73). Junior
Alex Buckoski (Kaukauna, Wis.) tied for 83rd with a 159 (78-81), while freshman
Griffin Frey (Waukesha, Wis.) carded a 164 (86-78) to tie for 99th. Junior
Brayden Bode (Oak Creek, Wis.) rounded out the squad's scoring with a 165 (84-81), finishing in a tie for 101st.
Wisconsin Lutheran's "B" team finished three spots ahead in 15th place, carding a 614 (302-312). Junior
Brycen Tanzi (West Bend, Wis.) led the team and all Warriors in the field, finishing in a tie for 33rd with a 149 (71-78).
UW-Stout captured the team title with a dominant two-round score of 559 (282-277). The Blue Devils' Andrew Bauer earned individual medalist honors, finishing at 4-under-par with a 138 (72-66).
WLC will return to action on Friday, September 11 for the Judson Fall Invitational. The event will be held at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Illinois, with a scheduled tee time of 12 p.m.
