Nate Lukas is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball team. He serves as the teams’ pitching coach.

Lukas has served as a U16 coach for the past four years at Bigler Big Time Baseball. He also spent one season as the head junior varsity baseball coach at Port Washington High School and was the Pirates’ varsity assistant and pitching coach for an additional two years.

Lukas attended Truman State University (Mo.) and pitched for two seasons for the Bulldogs before taking on a volunteer pitching coach role following a pair of surgeries. He finished with a 3-3 career record and earned GLVC All-Academic honors three times. TSU was the 2015 Midwest Regional Champions and appeared in the Division 2 World Series during Lukas’ time with the team. He graduated from Truman State in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and earned a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 2019.

A two-time All-State baseball selection at Grafton High School, Lukas also was a three-time All-North Shore Conference selection. He set new school records with 209 innings pitched, 35 starts, 18 complete games, and had a 1.34 WHIP.

Lukas is the operations manager for Bigler Sports. He and his wife Amanda reside in Greenfield.
