Former Wisconsin Lutheran College football player Andrew Flegel is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Warriors. He will serve as the defensive line coach.

Flegel returned to Wisconsin Lutheran after coaching the outside linebackers and defensive line at Oak Creek High School for two years (2017-2018). One season prior, he was the wide receivers and inside linebackers coach at Brown Deer High School.

A 2015 First Team All-NACC selection at linebacker, Flegel was a four-year (2012-2015) letterwinner for the Warriors and a member of the program’s first conference championship team in 2014. As a senior, Flegel recorded 71 tackles, including 9.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He finished his career at WLC with 110 total tackles. Flegel earned his bachelor’s degree in secondary education, history, and special education from Wisconsin Lutheran in 2017.

A two-year varsity letterwinner at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Flegel earned First Team All-Wisconsin Little 10 honors as the Vikings finished runner-up in the WIAA Division 3 Football Championship.

Flegel is an eighth grade special education teacher for Elmbrook Schools. He and his wife, Rachel, reside in Wauwatosa with their daughter, Alannah.
