Nolan Winkler is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College football program, working with the Warriors’ running backs.
A 2024 WLC graduate, Winkler was a four-year member of the Warriors football team as a defensive lineman under head coach Eric Treske. He capped his career by earning the program’s Servant Leader Award in 2024.
In addition to his college playing experience, Winkler has contributed to player development through his work with the MKE Ignite Showcase, assisting with the event annually.
A native of Oak Creek, Winkler was a multi-sport athlete at Oak Creek High School, competing in football, wrestling, and powerlifting. He helped the Knights to four playoff appearances on the gridiron (2016-2019), was part of the 2016 wrestling team state qualifiers, and qualified for the 2020 state powerlifting championship, where he totaled over 1,000 pounds across his lifts.
Winkler earned his bachelor’s degree in Politics & Law from WLC in 2024 and is pursuing a master’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management.
