Riley Freeland is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Lutheran College football team. He will serve as running backs coach in 2021.

Freeland joins the Warriors' coaching staff after graduating from Concordia University, Nebraska in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in K-12 physical education. After playing his first two seasons as a running back at CUNE, Freeland was a student assistant on the Bulldogs' staff his final two seasons. He mentored running back Jonah Weyand to First Team GPAC honors in 2020.

A native of Montrose, Colorado, Freeland played football for two seasons at Montrose High School and earned First Team all-conference honors in 2016. He rushed for 1,376 yards and seven touchdowns for the Indians his senior season.

Freeland, who is enrolled in the college's Master of Arts program, lives in Oak Creek with his wife, Rachel.
