Joe Luedke

Joe Luedke is in his 26th season as head coach of the Wisconsin Lutheran College men's soccer team.

The Warriors made their second consecutive NACC Tournament appearance and ninth overall a season ago after finishing 8-8-3 overall and 4-5-3 in the NACC.

WLC reached the 2016 NACC Tournament Final for the first time after winning two conference tournament road matches as the No. 6 seed.

Wisconsin Lutheran won a school-record 11 games in 2012 and reached the NACC Tournament after a four-year hiatus. The 2007 NACC Co-Coach of the Year, Luedke saw his team finish 10-9-1 overall, the first of three seasons with double-digit wins in program history.

Luedke has coached 35 different players who have earned a total of 84 all-conference honors in 25 seasons as head coach, including the program's first All-American in Puma Galvan (2022).

Wisconsin Lutheran is the first collegiate head coaching assignment for Luedke, but he is well versed in all aspects of soccer at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.

Luedke was a standout soccer player at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The forward completed his career with 20 goals, eight assists, and garnered team MVP honors his senior campaign. He earned all-league recognition both his freshman and sophomore seasons. He graduated from UWM in 2001 with a degree in history.

A graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Luedke was a three-sport varsity athlete in soccer, basketball, and baseball. He received the Daniel Nitschke Male Athlete of the Year Award his senior year.

In addition to his coaching duties at WLC, Luedke is the Director of Coaching for Elmbrook United. In the high school ranks, Luedke served as varsity girls' soccer coach at Pius High School from 2001-2004, and varsity girls' soccer coach at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 2005.

In 1995, Luedke founded the Hat Trick Soccer Camp, a competitive preseason soccer camp for high school girls. He has also worked as head clinician for the Brown Deer Recreation Department, soccer director for the Shorewood Recreation Department, staff coach for the British-American Soccer Camp, the Super Camp (the premier high school boys' preseason camp in Wisconsin), and staff coach for the Marquette University National I.D. Camp.

Luedke and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Merton with their two sons, Cole and Noah, and daughter, Grace.
