Women's Soccer edged by MSOE, 4-3

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College women's soccer team was edged by the MSOE Raiders 4-3 in a Northern Athletics Conference showdown on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors, who led at two different times throughout the game, allowed three second half goals as they went down in defeat.

Freshman Meta Kolander found the back of the net two times during the game. Her goal in the 28th minute put WLC up 1-0. She later scored in the 48th minute to put the Warriors up 2-1.

MSOE led 4-2 in the 76th minute when Kristen Kraklow scored unassisted for the final score of the day.

WLC totaled 13 shots in the game, with 12 of them being on goal. The Raiders attempted 26 shots in contest. Katie Sloan racked up 15 saves.

Wisconsin Lutheran (1-5, 1-1 NAC) will be back in action tomorrow when it hosts to the University of Dubuque Spartans in a non-conference game slated to begin at 1 p.m.
