Aurora powers past Wisconsin Lutheran

AURORA, Ill. - Aurora University, the preseason favorite to win the Northern Athletics Conference women's soccer title for the third straight season, defeated the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors 10-0 on Wednesday afternoon at AU Field.

The Spartans proved why they are the two-time defending champs by scoring five goals in each half and holding the Warriors without a shot attempt in the contest. Aurora finished with 45 shots in the game, 31 of which were on goal. Seven different players scored in the game for AU.

Kathryn Koepke (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) made 21 saves in the game for the Warriors.

Wisconsin Lutheran (1-7, 1-1 NAC) travels to Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wis., on Saturday at 2 p.m. for a NAC game against the Crusaders.
