MEQUON, Wis. - Wisconsin Lutheran (10-22, 8-16 NAC) wrapped up its 2009 softball season with a 3-0 loss at Concordia Wisconsin Tuesday. The Warriors managed only three hits in the second game of the Northern Athletics Conference doubleheader against the Falcons (20-20, 14-10 NAC).

Concordia pitcher Danielle Burk shut down the Warriors' offense in the game. She pitched a complete-game shutout, giving up only three hits while striking out 12. The Falcons' defense also had an outstanding game, allowing only one WLC base runner to get to second the entire game.

CUW scored two runs in the bottom of the second inning and added another run in the bottom of the sixth to go up 3-0. Burk recorded her 12th strikeout on the first batter and the next two Warriors were unable to get a hit as Wisconsin Lutheran fell 3-0 to the Falcons.

Starting pitcher Jenny Boelk (Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) threw a complete game for the second straight game for the Warriors, giving up three earned runs and striking out four.

The Warriors, who do not have a senior on the squad, finish in ninth place in the Northern Athletics Conference standings.
