FOREST PARK, Ill. - Dominican University scored
all five of its runs over the final four innings to rally from a
4-0 deficit and hand Wisconsin Lutheran a 5-4 defeat in eight
innings on Wednesday in the second game of a Northern Athletics
Conference doubleheader.
Junior Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) put the
Warriors up 1-0 in the second when she belted her second home run
in her last three games. WLC added another run in the fourth on an

came to a close.

an RBI double and single from Sloan and sophomore Stephanie Sack
(Granger, Ind./Michigan Lutheran), respectively.
Katie Jensen put the Stars on the scoreboard in the bottom of
the fifth when she homered to score Emily Mahoney. DU loaded the
bases with just one out in the sixth but the Warriors were able to
withstand the threat and escape the inning holding a 4-2 lead.

seventh, Abbey Bullerdick singled home two runs with two outs to
tie the game at 4-4. The Stars left the potential game-winning run
on third base when the inning ended.
WLC was retired in order in its half of the eighth, and after
two Stars reached base with two outs in the bottom of the frame,
Kristen Look singled home Mahoney for the winning run.

Lutheran), who pitched the final 2.1 innings in relief, was dealt
the loss.
