CHICAGO - The Wisconsin Lutheran softball team
came up just short on the road in the second game of their
non-conference doubleheader, falling to North Park University 4-3
on Wednesday at the Holmgren Complex.
Wisconsin Lutheran grabbed an early one-run lead in the first on
an RBI from sophomore Morgan Dittmar (Oostburg, Wis./Manitowoc

Lutheran). North Park knotted the game at 1-1 in the second on an
RBI single and took a 3-2 lead in the third on another RBI
single.
Following a scoreless fourth, the Vikings went ahead 4-1 in the
fifth when they plated two runs on three hits. The Warriors did not
go away, however, as Dittmar belted a two-run home run in the sixth
to pull within 4-3. Freshman Daetona Laurence (Wildomar,
Calif./California Lutheran) reached base on a single for WLC in the
seventh, but she couldn't advance when the game came to an end.
