MILWAUKEE - MSOE's Paula Bohl found the back of
the net on all four of her shot attempts to lead the host Raiders
to a 10-0 Northern Athletics Conference victory over the visiting
Warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran Saturday afternoon at Time Warner
Cable Stadium.
The Raiders were first to get on the scoreboard in the ninth
minute with a corner from Heidi Brehmer who found the foot of Bohl
to tally her first score of the day. Three minutes later at 11:42,
Bohl connected again from an assist by Jessica Axt. MSOE added its
final goal of the half when Axt got into the act at 13:48.
The Warriors, who kept the hosts out of the net the rest of the
first half, finished the first half with three shots compared to
seven for the Raiders.
Two minutes into the second half, Bohl recorded her third of
four scores on the afternoon on an unassisted goal. As the second
half progressed, the Raiders (4-4, 3-0 NAC) scored six more times
and the Warriors were held scoreless the rest of the game.
WLC senior goalkeeper Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska
Lutheran) made a pair of saves and faced seven shots in 54:32.
Freshman goalkeeper Megan Bruce (Waukesha, Wis./ Wisconsin
Lutheran) played the final 35:24 of the second half, allowing four
goals and stopping three shots. The Warriors were out-shot 23-5 as
five different players each registered a shot for the forest green
and white.
Wisconsin Lutheran travels to Aurora, Ill., on Tuesday,
September 21 for a 2 p.m. showdown with the Aurora University
Spartans (4-2, 2-0 NAC) at Vago Field.
