Women's Soccer shutout by four-time NAC champion Spartans

AURORA, Ill. - The four-time defending Northern Athletics Conference champion Aurora University Spartans shutout Wisconsin Lutheran College 10-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Vago Field.

Aurora (6-2, 4-0 NAC) had four different players score goals in the first half, three of which were assisted. The Spartans' scores came in the 4th, 16th, 21st and 37th minute, respectively. AU overpowered WLC in first-half shot attempts, 32-0.

The host Spartans maintained their torrid goal-scoring pace in the second half by adding six more tallies to their total, including their fifth goal less than a minute into the period. Jenne Lange led Aurora with three goals in a reserve role. Clasina Herndon assisted on three scores, while Samantah Dykema was responsible for a team-high six of AU's 58 shots.

Sophomore Aubrey Breuckman (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) was credited with the Warriors' only shot attempt in the second half. Goalkeepers Katie Sloan (Omaha, Neb./Nebraska Lutheran) and Megan Bruce (Waukesha, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) split time in the net and combined for 30 saves.

Wisconsin Lutheran (3-6, 1-2 NAC) returns home from its six-game road trip Thursday to host the Lions of Finlandia University (0-4-1) in a 5 p.m. non-conference game at Warrior Field.
